MRSI Wizard - Code 2 Document Type

The Army’s Code 2 process is intended to provide the information required to support the programming and budget process in advance of the budget lock for the upcoming Active Army (MCA) and Army Family Housing (AFH) MILCON program. The scope and cost validations completed as part of this process are the last opportunity to ensure that each project has the correct scope and budget estimate, and to put the Army in a posture to ensure successful program execution. The intent of taking the project to 35% Design is to ensure enough engineering design data has been incorporated into the project to develop an accurate scope and cost before the project is included in the Army’s Budget Estimate Submission (BES).

The Code 2 Document Type in the MRSI Wizard is used to create detailed documentation for Code 2 projects. This document type includes sections for project scope, design criteria, cost estimates, and other relevant information specific to Code 2 requirements.

When creating a Code 2 document, users will be guided through a series of forms and input fields designed to capture all necessary details for the project. The wizard will ensure that all required sections are completed and formatted according to Army standards.

More information about the Army MILCON Code 2 Process can be found on the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Code 2 Overview page.

Creating Code 2 Documents

The Code 2 Team creates and assigns all Code 2 documents to USACE PDT. Once assigned, you may add additional users as needed. For more information on adding users, see Adding Users to Documents.
