About
The MCX for electronic security systems (ESS) was created to maintain state-of-the-art technical expertise in, and provide expert support to, a number of mission areas including:
- Review all DD 1391's that identify ESS
- Support all planning and design charrettes that involve the application of ESS
- Perform electronic security surveys
- Review design submittals
- Review contract packages
- Review expansions of existing ESS
- Review situations that may result in adverse precedent setting actions for ESS work
- Provide information and support about ESS-MCX procurement and installation indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts to assist in analysis of determining the most cost-effective means of delivering ESS to the project
- Participate in source selection process for ESS
- Review technical submittals requiring Government approval
- Participate in on-site quality verification activities
- Review ESS test procedures
- Participate in ESS testing
- Participate in development of lessons learned/after action reports
In addition to the mandatory services above, the ESS-MCX is available for:
- Technical consulting for all aspects of electronic security
- Complete ESS planning, programming, and design services
- Complete ESS procurement and contracting services
- Complete ESS installation and construction support services
