The Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) is a designated Technical Center of Expertise (HEC). HEC is an organization within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE) Institute for Water Resources (IWR). The primary goal of HEC is to support the nation in its water resources management responsibilities by increasing USACE technical capability in hydrologic engineering and water resources planning and management.
