The MCX for Utility Monitoring and Control Systems (UMCS) was created to maintain state-of-the-art technical expertise and provide expert support to a number of mission areas including:
- Review all DD 1391s that identify UMCS
- Support all planning and design charrettes that involve the application of UMCS
- Perform UMCS surveys if required.
